The subject may make this sound like I want to sell you something, but I can assure you, that isn't what this email is about.
My name is Falyn. I live in Jackson, NJ. A couple of days ago, two of my friends, Dante and Alana, and I decided to venture around the back of my house (and quite possibly even trespass, though I am unsure), and we stumbled upon boxes of things, such as letters, family photos, cloth frames, projector slides, and more, just sitting there (outside, somewhat sheltered), collecting dust. I was amazed to see that some of these letters dated back to the forties, and I managed to confiscate a lot of things that were abandoned.
I intensely researched a man named Frank and a woman named Midge, and eventually I managed to find your website. I read all of your links about your family and the situation between you and your brother.
So, the point of this email is, I'm 100% positive that I have some items you would most certainly be interested in receiving, and I would absolutely love to return to you what is rightfully yours. I already have many of the things that were left there in my possession, and I am looking forward to picking up the rest very soon. Please get back to me.
Sincerely, Falyn V.
Oh my goodness! I had given up on ever seeing any of those again!
I am in North Carolina, so I am going to have to figure out how to get there to pick things up or, have you pack them up and send them.
First though, could you take some photos? How much is there?
Thank you so much for finding this,
If you could pick these items up, that would be very convenient! But, of course, if you are unable to, I completely understand. I would have no issue in sending them to you.
There is actually quite a lot. This is only the contents of the first box.
Like I said, I didn't get a chance to go back and fetch the rest just yet. If it's pretty much dry outside (it just rained), I'd gladly go and get the other things sometime today. If not, I will get them tomorrow morning.
As for you thanking me, it's no problem! I find these sort of things incredibly intriguing.
Again, OMG. I am almost in tears here and am shaking as I type this. Yes, these are my parents things.
You read about what my brother did to me and my sister, so you know a bit of the story. I have never spoken to him since, but I am in touch with his children (my nieces and nephew).
Is the house where you found these things on East Veteran's Hwy? We could certainly come to NJ if there is a lot of stuff.
I'm glad I was able to find these things for you!
But yes, I did read the story. What he and his wife did to you and your sister was so upsetting! Family doesn't do that. That just isn't right. :(
The house is indeed on East Veteran's Hwy. Although, we didn't find these things in a house. You see, nearby two houses, there is a picnic area, where it looks like people would be served. I remember bikers often going back there and having their own little gatherings. As of now, since Just Plain Jane's is closed down, the area is completely abandoned, and it's surrounded by an overgrown field. Some picnic tables are overturned, and it is extremely dirty. No one has been keeping up with it!
Anyway, I do believe that people still live in the houses right on the property, but I don't know either of the families that live there. I live on the street next to it, Jefferson court. Would you happen to know if either of these houses belong to the in laws?
Are you serious? I wouldn't want to trouble you and make you travel that far! Like I said, I can send these things to you, but of course it is ultimately up to you whether or not you want to get these things in person, which, of course, I don't mind you doing at all!
Neither of the houses belong to relatives. Michael and his wife and her daughter were renting. I visited there in Sept-Oct 2008. It was a white house, porch in front and garage to the left.
I'm thinking that Mike got evicted sometime in 2009 and the landlady (Jane?) took the boxes. We moved all of my parents furniture into the garage. I wonder if it is still there?
So are there just boxes? How many?
Ah, I believe I know exactly what house you are talking about. That may be so, but I don't think they would leave all of those things in the garage, especially if someone new happened to rent the house. They would have to leave it somewhere else... What kind of furniture was left there? Were they large items?
As for the boxes, there are a couple (not sure how many exactly), as well as some black garbage bags containing some slightly larger things. I have yet to inspect what exactly is in the garbage bags, but I will, nonetheless!

Just talked with my partner Joel, and we may be able to come to New Jersey in the middle of September if we need to.
There was lots of big, heavy furniture in good condition so I suspect it has been given away.

My dearest apologies for this being late. I've been very busy for the past few days.
Anyway, if you could come down, that would be fantastic! I would just need a date or notice before you come. My friends and I would love to meet you and personally give you your belongings! :)
As for the furniture, that may be so.
We need to know whether to just bring our own car (a Mini-Cooper with a fair bit of room in back) or rent something bigger. Are there just a few boxes and bags or do we need a van?
I know about being busy. We are too, but Joel has 4 days off from Sept 13-16. Plenty of time to drive there and back.

I am extremely sorry for this being late once more. School just recently started, and I happen to be a student at the local high school here in Jackson, so things have been tight and I unfortunately haven't found the time to email you back until now.
Anyway, I'm unsure. It's up to you. I attached some pictures, so perhaps you could approximate the amount of space you need.
September 13th to 16th should be fine with me. I would just need to know what time exactly you'd be in town to pick the items up.

No problem about not getting back to me sooner. We have been away to Kentucky on our motorcycle for a big rally. So much fun! Nothing like the Hells Angels or anything like that, just 700+ people who love to ride. (http://www.scrcnationalrally.com/)
So, we just got back this afternoon and I've had a chance to look at the photos. I have a question. There appears to be some more boxes under the table. Are those part of it too?
Oh wow! That sounds like plenty of fun. I've never been on a motorcycle before. Definitely something I'd like to try in the future.
Actually, I believe that's a piece of wood connected to the table underneath. I don't remember seeing any other boxes. In the opposite corner of the room, there is a garbage can. I don't think anything important is in there? I think it's literal garbage. I haven't really bothered to look into it because it's honestly all gross and web-y. I wouldn't worry about that, though.
Point is, I think everything in the photos is what is really important, along with the things I have in my possession.
So... we went to NJ and retrieved all of the photos and papers that we could find. They were spread around a 10 foot area. Over the next few weeks I will be sorting through everything and will undoubtedly have more info to post on my genealogy pages. I'll keep everyone updated.
